Announcement Regarding Coronavirus Pandemic

In light of the global pandemic caused by the coronavirus, we at PSC are working hard to make sure that there is little to no disruption of our services to you, our valued community partners.

Realistically, there will be delays and frustrations outside of our immediate control. We have already been advised of agency and court closures and will keep you posted as we continue to learn more. We are keeping up with the information provided by our state and local health departments, and adapting to ensure that we do our part in helping to protect our community and staff.

As a precaution, we are closing our doors to walk-in visitors. Our team is both working from home and working limited hours in our office. Please contact us via email at info@pscprotectsyou.com.

On-Line Training Courses are Coming

Our classroom has been empty since our last training session in early March. For over 15 years I have hosted training in our training room and traveled throughout Indian Country to bring our investigation and adjudication training to our attendees. Then COVID-19 happened.

It may have taken a pandemic for me to convert our training from traditional classroom style training to distance learning, but we are making the conversion. We are working hard to design distance learning that is as close to our in-person training as possible. My son has taken all of the photos and directed and edited our videos. My grandchildren, father and husband have all been recruited as models. My daughters are editing and conducting our peer reviews. This has been a learning experience for my whole family. We hope your families are coming together as well and staying safe.

Our distance learning training sessions will include on-line training available through our website. We are using Moodle which will track your progress as well as your completed training sessions and issue certificates. We will also continue to provide you with a downloadable desk manual and form templates. You will be given the opportunity to engage with me, the Instructor, through a live Zoom training at the conclusion of each training session. Our our first training session, "Employee Investigation Program Orientation", is available online now.

Celebrating 15 Years in Business

In 2004, after serving as a security specialist and coordinator for suspected child abuse reports, I decided it was time to take what I had learned in my employment and give all that I knew to help protect children by starting a business. I had no business plan, no marketing plan, no operations plan, and no education beyond high school. My little one-person business has grown into a Corporation that provides training, background screening services and technical guidance to communities. I created this business through the teachings learned in ceremonies and the teachings of my people. In the last 15 years, we have received a number of awards and honors, including the New Mexico SBA Small Business Person of the Year, the Governor's Award for Outstanding New Mexico Women, the American Indian Business of the Year Award, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Top 100 Businesses Blue Ribbon Award. Because of the lessons learned in operating PSC, I was selected as a TEDx Presenter for the State of New Mexico. The most rewarding experience has been working directly with our Tribal communities to protect their communities. Thank you to my loved ones for guiding me and thank you to our community partners for giving me a chance. I am looking forward to the next 15 years.

Wants and Warrants Search Discontinued

Access to National Wants and Warrants has been discontinued by Crime Information Centers nationwide. All law enforcement entities who were selling National Wants and Warrants searches for private and employment purposes have been banned. Wholesalers and Leaders in the background investigation industry tried very hard to save the search, unfortunately the ban will stand. This affects all background screening companies nationwide. Personnel Security Consultants, Inc. will no longer offer this service.

Alternative Searches:

FBI Fingerprint Submissions -- This search provides national criminal histories and does contain warnings for Wanted Individuals as well as Registered Sex Offender Warnings.

National Database Searches -- This search is name and date of birth based and provides national criminal histories to include active warrants. If a hit is identified; a follow-up county/local search is required to confirm the record.
